Monte Olsen is a Past President & Honorary Life Member of Missouri Association of Fire Protection Districts and a former NAEFO Vice President and Executive Director.

Monte is an Adjunct Instructor at the Universitiy of Missouri's Fire and Rescue Training Institute where he teaches governance classes to officials of Missouri's ambulance and fire protecion districts.

Monte is a former Director and District Mangaer of the Western Cass Fire Protection District, District Manager of the Inter City Fire Protection District, and served as the Court-appointed Special Master and Receiver for the Tightwad Fire Protection District.
